I was looking for solutions what to do with Law Partners fees. I did not find solution for fees, but I found interesting story that has surprising amount of similarities to mine. I would like to share it [[https://maps.app.goo.gl/rSnvp2bydf8vqou97]]. Review is by user with initial '''g b'''. He has local guide ranking on google maps and the review seems genuine. It is about Parramatta office, but in my view it still applies to Sydney office too.
Dealing with law partners would have to be the worst and most costly experience of our lives, as a result of the traumatic experience law partners have put us through we hope people can learn from our experience and potentially avoid a similar disaster
During the early stages of dealing with law partners it seemed like everything was running smoothly, as we progressed and approached the final stage of my wife's workers compensation claim we attended a mediation with the intentions of settling out of court
During the mediation hearing Law partners failed to investigate and provide crucial evidence to the insurance company which would have made a substantial difference to our settlement figure also during the mediation we were inundated with information from our acting barrister and solicitor which was extremely difficult to process as this information relating to our claim was never previously mentioned to us in order for us to prepare ourselves for, also to make matters worse I had to interpret everything to my wife as law partners didn't organise an interpreter
This simple and irresponsible mistake made by our legal team I believe may have been done deliberately as they were only interested in trying to get us to settle on the day rather than giving us professional advice on other options that could have resulted in a more favorable outcome
due to the improper handling of our case we asked our legal team to request from the insurance company a cooling off period prior to accepting their offer in order for us to research and process the information we received during mediation, unfortunately as a result of our legal teams incompetence they couldn't even manage to persuade the insurance company to agree on a simple request and advised us that a decision had to be made on the day
The mediation could have been better planned and carried out in a more professional manner if law partners made us aware days in advance of the process that was going to take place and most importantly what method they were going to use to try and get us the maximum figure we deserved and were entitled to but never received
Unfortunately we have literally lost a substantial amount of money due to the unprofessional and negligent manner law partners carried out there work which resulted in a pathetic settlement figure that has pretty much left us disappointed and devastated
I seriously recommend anyone looking for professional legal services go somewhere else and do proper research before signing into any contract
The comments made in this review are based on actual events and honesty, I have tried to be as accurate as possible to express my personal opinion and experience with law partners

I been a client of Law Partners personal injury firm from 2018-04 till 2020-06. After the injury itself this is the second thing, I wish that would not happen in my life. For me dealing with Law Partners was truly retraumatizing experience. It started path of the misery that I still cannot get out of

I was represented by solicitor Gillian Potts and barrister Ken Pryde, who technically is not a part a part of Law Partners, but according to himself works with them a lot.

The list of problems is very long. I have 2 complaints against them with Office of the NSW Legal Services Commissioner.

Law Partners bill

  1. Charge for all phone calls and emails twice: as part of other items and additionally individually just calls or correspondence, even if by the contract they were already covered by other items and should not be charged additionally (items: 1, 2, 3, 5).
  2. Charge for the tasks they have not performed, but simply asked the client to provide final information (item 4).
  3. I had a look at 34 general communication items: 7 have no correspondence, 6 were just notifications of appointments, for notification of one appointment with Dr Khan they charge 4 times. None of them should have been charged based on the contract.
  4. They made 2 mathematical errors and charge extra $3,210.01.

Analysis of Law Partners itemized bill (incomplete). Analyzing bill according to supreme court cost assessment requirements is a good way to look at itemized bill as you may need to go there if negotiations fail. It will also give better understanding where you are. Media Wiki is not the best tool for this as you need to calculate sums and I do not know how to do it using Media Wiki, so I am using spread sheets instead.
